Happy New Year! New Eco-Books!
What eco-books are you reading in 2025? We have a few that we are excited about!
Our first must-look is A Natural History of Empty Lots by Christopher Brown. Learn how even the ugliest places can be full of resources, learning, and beauty.
Another must-read is Sy Montgomery’s chronicle of her work rehabilitating turtles in New England entitled Of Time and Turtles. Partnering with her collaborator, and fellow turtle-lover, Matt Patterson who lovingly captured the rescue journey with his beautiful wildlife artwork, Montgomery gives us an important read for our time.
Finally, our children’s book of choice is Wilder Child written by Nicollete Sowder and illustrated by Myo Yim. After years of sharing an outdoor education model for families, including the Kids Moon Club and Wildschooling’s model for homeschooling, Nicollete has a chance to share her inspirations with a wider audience via this beautiful picture book. Learn more about Wilder Child’s nature-learning model(s) by visiting their website.
Enjoy being more connected to nature in 2025.
